I'm Caroline Duncan, and fairyface is my big idea. In a strange and delightful series of events, I met a special fairy named Flutter, who reminded me how magical the world is, and invited me to join forces and make a business. Fairies are crafty and convincing, and once I got that fairydust in my eye, it was on.
Of course, I alerted my most favorite friend, (she's the beauty in the photo with the yellow background) She is the imaginative genius, Elizabeth Godley (who NOT coincidentally had also met a fairy named Starbelle....that's right! Tinkerbell's cousin!!!! and she looks JUST like Elizabeth?!!! What?!!)
When Flutter found me, and hinted at our possible family connection, I was working as an actress, model, uber artist and eco-friendly chef. I do lots of other creative things, too, like jewelry design, costume design and wardobe styling, print modeling and event planning. If I look familiar, you may have seen me in a commercial- I've been lucky to shoot over 80 national ones..or maybe you saw me on a TV show or a play.
I am now living in New York City and am heading up the NY Fairy Face Inc. branch.
Elizabeth is the fairy in charge of the Los Angeles branch of Fairy Face Inc. She has a maaaajor background with kids. In addition to being a very experienced childcare pro, she has taught children theatre and dance, studied visual art and has a degree in theatre herself. She is an aerialist, specializng in tissu--that's the AWESOME stuff cirque du soleil people do where they make gorgeous shapes with their bodies whilst dangling high in the AIR from long swaths of silk...no kidding. Plus she was a competitive gymnast. Oh and did I mention she writes, produces and directs as well? Yep. It's fair to say that Elizabeth is amazing.
We LOVE special needs kids and grown-ups, and treasure time we can spend with them. My mother was a wonderful special needs teacher, and we have both spent lots of time hanging out and learning among our most unique humans. We hope the fairies get to celebrate with some of those special people at our parties!
